Chicago and Canada Southern Railway - The Chicago and Canada Southern Railway was a planned extension of the Canada Southern Railway west from Grosse Ile, Michigan to Chicago, Illinois. The line was only built to Fayette, Ohio, and was later split between the Detroit, Toledo and Ironton Railway and Lake Shore and Michigan Southern Railway.
Southern Railway (US) - The Southern Railway was the product of nearly 150 predecessor lines that were combined, reorganized and recombined beginning in the 1830s, formally becoming the Southern Railway in 1894. It was combined with the Norfolk and Western Railway to form the Norfolk Southern Railway in 1982.
Southern Railway (India) - Southern Railway is the first Railway Zone to be created in independant India. It was created on April 14 1951 by merging three state railways namely Madras and Southern Mahratta Railway, the South Indian Railway, and the Mysore state railway.
New Brunswick Southern Railway - The New Brunswick Southern Railway (NBSR) and Eastern Maine Railway (EMR) form a 189 mile railway system operating a former Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) mainline between Saint John, New Brunswick and Brownville Junction, Maine.
